KEEPERS

GARETH BRIGGS

Young keeper joined this season from Whitbread County Senior league. Played with the Chesterfield FC College team before trial spell with Rushden & Diamonds. Geat shot stopper and plenty of confidence.

DEFENDERS

LIAM COLLINS

Local player who has been with the club several years. Can play anywhere along the back and never lets you down. Rarely gets beat for pace.

BEN NEWMAN

Been with club several seasons now after spell at Worksop. Club captain and again never lets you down great reader of the game.

RICHARD BARNETT

Shown great loyalty to the club and has seemed to improve each season he has been with us. Strong central defender and rarely loses anything in the air.

LEE EVANS

After starting his career at Matlock and Buxton as a forward Lee has settled down into the left back position but provides great attacking options and managed to get into double figures with his goals from here last season.

SIMON OHARA

Local player who is very versatile. Can play anywhere along the back and in midfield if required. His effort and commitment is great and rarely has a bad game.

CARL CONNELLY

Young player signed this season from Shirebrook Town. Had a spell at Ollerton before moving to Shirebrook has showed great promise and has sweet right foot.

PAUL WHITWORTH

Captained reserves a couple of seasons ago and looking to break into the first team. Missed all last season through injury and hoping for a better campaign this time.

TOM MARSHALL

Young player player joined last season from local football. Very steady on the ball has shown dramatic improvement and has great potential

MIDFIELDERS

PHIL ROBB

Into his third season with the club can play on either flank and has tremendous skill and balance.

JOHN PARSONS

Voted players player last season. Hard working midfield player and can provide goal threat from there.

CRAIG HUMPHRIES

Another player signed from local football a couple of seasons ago and has shown great improvement. Great header and tackler with plenty of energy can also play centre half.

PETER HIBBERD

Local player who missed most of last season due to work commitments. Great to have him back brings great energy and enthusiasm to the side.

MARTIN NEWMAN

Local lad again been with us for several seasons. Had spells at South Normanton and Sheffield FC great attacking winger with bags of skill and pace.

GREG LOWDE

Young player with plenty of potential. Can play anywhere along the midfield, had spell with Welbeck last season.

PAUL BLAKEMORE

Re-signed after two seasons out of game great experience and very good on the ball and in the air.

SCOT WHARTON

Scot can either play defence or midfield. Young play again came through the Chesterfield academy and has a spell at Staveley. Excellent player comfy on the ball whether defence or midfield.

MARK TYSON

Signed from local football. Can play on either wing and has shown good potential. Had a spell two years ago with Ollerton.

FORWARDS

STEVE MCMAHON

Been with the club several seasons can play either forward or midfield powerful player who likes to run with ball

ASHLEY BARBER

Signed last season from Chesterfield side Duckmanton Lodge unfortunately missed most of last season through injury hopes to mark his mark at this level this season

DANIEL GEE

Another young player joined this season from Shirebrook also played with the Chesterfield FC college team. Powerful direct forward with plenty of skill.

ROSS WHITEHEAD

Young player signed a couple of seasons ago from local football. Missed most of last season through injury tall player whose link up play is excellent.

SHAUN VINCENT

An experience striker signed from Forest Town. Has played at several clubs and his link up play and experience will be great asset for us.
